Pursuant to the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989 and the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988, MIT has a comprehensive program to prevent the use of illegal drugs and the abuse of alcohol. MIT reviews its program biennially to determine its effectiveness, implement any necessary changes, and ensure that the required disciplinary sanctions are consistently enforced.
Please refer to dfsca.mit.edu for information on standards of conduct, legal sanctions, health risks, resources and programs offered by MIT, and disciplinary sanctions for policy violations.
