II (11). Gambling and Raffles

Students are advised that some gambling activities are illegal under Massachusetts Law and they are expected to abide by these laws. Information about Massachusetts gambling laws can be found on the state's page on gambling and casino laws. Students are further advised that those who engage in illegal gambling may face criminal action.

A raffle is defined as a game in which the prize is won by random drawing of the name or number of one or more persons purchasing chances. Students and student organizations can refer to the Event Planning Guide for information about obtaining a one-day raffle license from the City of Cambridge.
